Ah, that's what it reminds me of.
Paddy's Wigwam.

I like this new design! I prefered the concrete version, but these bricks look good too.
-

You've changed your tune...
Not really, I said I was interested to see how they developed the public realm and brickwork detailing as this is key to the design. The latest images look pretty drab on both fronts.

Brickwork detailing.
Jesus. Fucking. Wept.
Brick hipsterism.

Will definitely be a contender at that year's National Brick Awards... If it ever gets built, of course...
-
• #121282
I wish they'd gone with concrete...

It's not like Baylor don't have the money...

I like it.
I don't know anything about architecture, but I like it.
-
• #121286
I like it too... Worried the brick will look cheap and nasty tho'... I'm sure H&DM will specify top quality stuff and it will look mega-gorge...

Greenbank
Paddy's Wigwam.Really, that's concrete? And they ran out of money, and only built the top third. Can you build just the top 3rd of a football stadium.
For me, it brings to mind the Mound Stand at Lords, but obviously on a much much grander scale. I think I like it, but it may be too much.

Looks like a 1950's Commie prison and clearly copied from the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.
Remember you are style etc etc..... -
• #121289
I think it looks amazing. Refreshing to see something a bit different.

That thing looks like the outside of the Tavern/Mound stand at Lords...
GNev coaching Valencia now eh? Shame he's left Sky though :(

Gary Neville appointed Valencia Manager?!
With his dippy brother as coach still -
• #121294
His brother isn't doing a bad job apparently.
-
• #121295
thought you were taking the piss!
Peter Lim better hope this appointment pans out.
big leap by Gary Neville as well, which is commendable for heading abroad to a relatively big club in Spain as his first management job, and even though he's got his badges and has been on the england coaching staff, still think this is a disaster waiting to happen... Better to get his management legs in the lower leagues, before sitting in the super hot seat of bigger clubs fallen on hard times and looking for a savior. -

Do you have any proof of this or is it just known? Managing in League 2 (for example) may be so different than managing in La Liga that it may not really be comparable. How many current successful managers cut their teeth in the lower leagues?

^ & ^^ see Tactics Tim for details. (The fucking club-wrecking chancer).

He has got his management legs with a shitty team.
HE WORKS FOR THE ENGLISH FA. -
• #121300
I don't think any development plan for Tactics Tim would have worked.
I like it.
