Feck, I should've asked a Platinum to buy it for me ;)

Used mine today, it's pretty good. Trying to export the video is frankly horrendous, at least using my laptop.

How it that mounted? Can I see a pic, looks fun to mount my 2nd camera like that maybe.

K-Edge mount on the saddle rails, I can get a pic later.
Only issue is that it focuses on the stem - not sure that there is a way round that, however.

K edge do really cool garmin/go pro combo mounts!

It's still quite a chunky unit, I thought it would be littler.

Damn that's a lot neater than using the free clamp to the post.

Hmm I like that idea

I'm actually thinking about starting to use my go pro on the commute, as much as it pains me. Just getting fed up of lobotomised idiots doing colossally dangerous things. Dude last night doing a three point turn in a busy road in the rain in the dark with phone clamped to his ear last night for example. No one ever takes kindly/apologetically to the 'put the phone down' gesture, do they?

More GoPro Session videos now I've got mine.
The things I wanted to see before I purchased: Night light commuter videos.
Here's the first, and it was me testing my Lumicycle lamp modes to see which mode is best for video capture:
https://youtu.be/m5sdo3jEtqE
The winning mode is the 550 lumen "mid" mode. The 160 lumen "low" eco mode was basically useless, and the 1,650 lumen "boost" mode was brilliant but totally excessive and would likely dazzle drivers.

Oh, and daylight is fine... everything very sharp and brightly lit. Perfectly happy with that, but it was night shooting that I wanted to test.
It definitely works well enough as a commuter cam at night, and the waterproofing is fine.

Second video... just cycle commuting in the dark and rain using the Session:

If I wanted to be able to transfer video clips from the Micro SD card I use in my M10 to my iphone and edit them without going through a desktop computer, what would I need?
O also, my current (2nd) M10 has developed a fault. The record button has started jamming down with the result that the camera starts to record as soon as it's turned on. Not a huge deal as I can just turn the camera on/off as I want to record but does mean I can't take photos, review footage or adjust settings.
Thinking I might try and pick up a cheap used Go Pro off ebay soon.

anyone know why my go pro just says 'searching go pro' when i plug it in to upload?
Useless thing.

Been using the Contour Roam for a few years with no real issues other than its only 780.
Just seen the SJ4000 advertised at £25 on the net.
Anyone with experience of this little Go-Pro copy?

Probably. A lot of their stuff looks like cheap Chinese knockoff. They accept Paypal though.
Even better, there is a discount event on wiggle at the moment, so if you are Gold then you get a 15% discount, and if you are Platinum you get a 17% discount. This expires on the 21st of this month.
There's a big banner on their home page: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/
