I've never seen the point of a 500hp one. they are great to look at and listen to, but that is all they need to be, in my book.
the replica/recreation/kit/copy chat always end up in a discussion that doesn't compare like for like. the argument always assumes that all replicas/kits/etc cost exactly the same to build/buy.
there is a massive difference between the dude that builds a nice little kent powered seven in his tiny garage with minimal funds, and the money-no-object bloke that wants an exact copy of the '63 GTO that won the tdf.
