speaking of Alans, got the Super Record back on the road after another theiving slag stole the brooks and post, found another post and dug a rolls out of the parts bin,added spg's for winter goretex boots fun , saddle nose needs adjusting down,and a bar end pug needed pic was on 'test run'

also got a single bar end shifter for the cx version, so will be nuovo record 1x6

ooh I do like that very much, I love the Victory groupset on it, it suits very well. My eye was drawn immediately to the Dino I must confess but I'd rather have the Alan! It's a self preservation thing I guess.

7710s would be sweet!

So I bought @HoKe's cranks... weight saving is massive! On One cranks incl chainring and bb was 1005g vs the 7710's including my spare SRAM Omnium chainring and bb at 785g

I wouldn't be running brakes, so I guess going the Dolan route is a good idea. What's the tc1 like? Have they fixed the clamp issues?

Temporary winter setup. The front wheel's going to another bike, might retire this for the winter once I get the other one built. Fork's too long, but feels more or less rideable.

Beats walking/driving/taking a bus.

Thinking of turning my cross-check into a fixed audax bike/super commuter with 2 brakes. Rival 165mm chainset, surly stainless 36t chainring, velosolo 17t bolt on sprocket, on a hope pro 2 (I have one lying around which is converted to Allen bolts instead of QR) to A319 wheel. Would mean I have no gears til my Hartley is ready late February, but fixed training through winter is no bad thing right?

Buy conversion kit/axle from Hope, follow instructions on Youtube or somewhere in Hope's tech docs...
