It's all in the mind. English players have been plenty good enough on paper. They simply lack balls on the big stage. They also lack real passion and commitment to the cause. Take chile in the last World Cup as an example. They had Gonzalo jara FFS among others and yet perform with bravery instead of cowardice. England's continued failures will not be remedied by better training, ball work, yoga, tactical awareness etc. they are an E2 team but they shouldn't be. with the talent at their disposal over the years they should have been E1.
The only thing in the players
Defense is that we take international football less seriously as a nation compared to others and this is not such a bad thing at all. -

Very interesting. He'll probably be nobbled off soon enough though

The problem is, the manager(whoever it may be at the time) tend to a) favour players from 'the Big 4' and b) pick favourites as oppose to picking players on form.
Fuck me, for how many years did they keep trying Fat Frank and Stevie M€£$ before realising that they're wank together?! Actually, they never even realised

Clive will be perfectly fine. He seen who his friends are, had kept his sense of humor and Hasa plan.

Not quite, they were given a lesson in football by Spain. England however, are not yet at a level where they can even pick anything up from the lesson.Daniel Taylor in The Guardian said Carrick was a player good enough to get into the Spanish midfield.
Mowing the grass presumably.
Right, can every cunt here fuck off once and for all with the lfc deluded bollox.

Yes, although he's only a tiny part of the problem.A complete overhaul of kids football is needed, where the focus is on skills, not competitive games.
Knobhead parents screaming shit like: "play the percentages, Josh!", "The channels! Hit the channels!", "Tuck in, charles!!!" all at under 10s, on full sized pitches, with full size footballs. Our F.A. charging the most expensive rates for badges, shit weather, Smeg oven/fridge/freezers i.e. building luxury flats on pitches doesn't help.
There's too much pressure on winning and not having fun. Futsal skills used to develop on the street but with no ball games signs everywhere we seem to be coaching clones with no real invention. Thus the biggest kids that can kick it the hardest get pushed on, aren't encouraged to develop [see Micah Richards]. The lack of basic technique the other night was embarrassing. Stirling@£50M?! -

They're too soft. Getting £30K/week as someone in the reserves flouncing about with your Dre Beats headphones and designer toiletry bag means you'll never have the balls. Ever.
Bring back boot cleaning.

Seriously, U10's on full size pitches?
In the Netherlands the kids play 7 a side until they turn 11 but a lot of clubs like to apply for dispensation so that they can slow down a bit further.
Don't think it's ever been any different either.
FWIW I think it could be a good thing that the Dutch didn't qualify for the Euros, hopefully they start from fresh and get a new team together that can do something a bit more positive in the next WC providing it's not going to get boycotted.

This in the training camp after Bayern had hammered Dortmund in the cup final for the double with a late disallowed Hummels and two goals of their own. Buy the book.

It's a shame we keep qualifying. In this era of bragging about the amount of money in our game something they and the media keep banging on about- that maybe that could be the watershe....bollox. We've uncoupled our FA from our flagship league. Nothing will change until the bottom falls out of the market.

Roncrete to Everton in Jan apparently. Probably bollocks. But interesting. Supposedly world class but can't say I was overly impressed when he was at Villa. He's no Stones or Jags though is he?
