My Ritchey bars have definitely more than 128 drop, maybe they have different options in that model... But it's too much, at least in my summer setting with carbon fork & lower stem (more "sportif" in a way). In the winter with steel forks and taller stem (it's not custom by the way -I wish - but just a VO stem that Mario sprayed along with frame) the drop is fine but I wouldn't mind trying with less. Will have a closer look at salsa cowbell/Cobwell, thanks for your elaborated reply!

My Ritchey bars have definitely more than 128 drop.
That may very likely due to the angle of the bar putting the drop at a steeper angle thus feel lower.

Dug my emails from when I ordered them, I think they are these ones (although I feel drop/reach may be slightly shallower on mine... I'm sure they come in various dimensions)

Is there a handlebar database
somewhere?I like the shape of nitto dirt drop (and if I spend fifty pounds I'd rather go nitto than salsa) but again massive drop and reach

Hugely depends on the employer playing the card. Mine did and after 12 month salary sacrifice and transfer fee and lease extension fee I ended up saving £10. So I usually consider worst case scenario.
Doesen't matter how long you keep the bike or not.

Franken long haul trucker

If that's the same bar, then you may need a longer stem to have the same position.
If you want a classic shape, look at the Zipp SL88 (similar reach)

That franken trucker is rad.
I have a question about making my bike more functional. My LHT tourer has a stub on the back of the headtube for a horizontally mounted pump. I want a Zefal HPX but im confused about the sizes.
Its a 52cm LHT frame. Do I get the 48-53cm pump?

That franken-surly-trucker bike looks amazing, but I bet it rides like an absolute tank

PDW "Cork Chop" grips really are terrible :(
This is after supergluing the cork outer to the plastic inner.
Do FBNPNAers have a recommendation for something similar looking that isn't crap?

Ergon does a cork version, best grips ever for my purposes.

:( That sucks, use better glue maybe? If not theres only one option - Ergon

Another vote for Ergon, not used the cork version but have had GP1 and GS1 on bikes for 3-4 years now...

Mine were super cheap, like £7? No issues so far and used in all conditions. Can't remember where I bought from but will have a think. They aren't as pretty as ergons but are also not £30

Thanks all! Will probably give @TM's Humpert ones a go before splashing out for the Ergons. Hopefully SJS will refund those awful PDW ones.

Thumbs up on the cork Ergons from me. Had them on my commuter folder for a couple of years now. Really comfy and no real wear to speak on. This is despite chucking the bike in the luggage rack on a train twice a day.

@joel_austen and @withered_preacher - are the cork Ergons all good in the wet? Not slippery with bare hands like TM mentioned with the Humpert ones?

I also quite like the idea of a bike like this, if only it had forward facing dropouts/rockers and mudguards...
