Very much this. McCarthy did a job on Payet and now he's out for up to three months. The rulebook as it is at the moment is a joke and retrospective decisions get made only when the suits feel like it.

I'm still fuming about it and even a fan of any other team must realise how much it is such shame that Payet will be out for months as even without my rose tinted specs on he's an absolute joy to watch.
One bright side to look on is that I hope Martin Samuelsen gets a breakthrough into the 1st team as he is shaping up to be mustard.
