I've got a 6400 seatpost, which I will use if it's long enough- however some quick tape-measure work shows that it might not work in this application. We shall see.
I may look into TIG'ing another section of alloy tube onto the 6400 post, probably pinning the joint also if I go that route.
Open to suggestions for a different, period correct but longer 27.2 post.
The post that is in there right now is to enable it to be clamped in the stand.
Saddle- once you go SMP you don't go back.

Since you're set on SMP, you don't need inline I hope?
I've got a pair of Nitto Noodle- 26mm, and the stem can't get round the bends. Which is a shame as they are otherwise perfect.
