The seat clusters on some of the new 'dale bieks are fucking atrocious. Something about chunky carbon and 27.2mm posts that just blows.

Agreed, needs 25.0
-
• #38934
My 2015 'dale's post is smaller than 27.2.
-
• #38935
Really? I just guessed 27.2. To me those clusters look as if like they're built to take an aero post, then filled in to put a round one in. Just looks ugly to my eye...

It looks like someone just stabbed a seat post into the top tube.

The one with the 6-spoke front wheel is a piece of shit. Even says so right there on the downtube.

It's 25.4, not 27.2.
The whole reason is that they're slightly more comfortable than a 27.2 seatpost, instead of having a little rubber block on the seat tube like Trek, they opt for a more traditional way of reducing vibration going up to your backside.
It's one of the many reason why I told @dancing james to get the Synapse.

a lot of this shit is making its way from china to the streets of london, people actually buy them.

Amsterdam yeah? Saw a guy riding this the other day. Had a Deliveroo backpack on as well. Made me laugh - the food will have been shaken to pieces by the time it arrives!

Does it work then? It just looks... cheap.

Noticeably so, can be further improved by having a decent carbon seatpost.
The new 2016 Cannondale SuperSix now come with a 25.4mm seatpost, the previous Supersix have 27.2, further back to 2013, it used to have a whopping 31.6mm.
Oversized = stiffness usually, useful for frame, bar, stem etc. but with seatpost, you don't want to feel every small vibration travelling up your backside.
I hate Felt man it's seriously one of the lamest brands
