  • Please advice just received the frame and noticed that the chain stay are not brazed symmetrically to the center line of the bottom bracket shell. Is that normal ?
    Thanks

  • Anyone got any idea what the going rate for set of forks is?

  • What should I do ?
    Thanks

  • email him obvs

  • was just about to say how awesome that frame and the paintjob looked

  • Tell me about that :(

  • Therefore my conclusion is that
CHEAP FRAMES ARE NOT GOOD AND
    GOOD FRAMES ARE NOT CHEAP

  • It's a real sham about the consistency of his work, or rather the lack of. Though with that said, I am very happy with mine.

  • Get your front mech/bottle cage situation sorted?

  • You are absolutely right.
Took the frame to one of our local frame builders in my area and he was surprised too.
To fix that not including new paint he wanted around 185 USD just for labor.

  • Rychtarski should fix it much cheaper than that although you could have to pay postage there and back. Still could work out cheaper

  • 150Euro for MAX or regular steel. No shipping included.

  • He should fix it for free it is a brand new frame that I got from them 2 day ago in the mail.

  • If he doesn't you could just use bottom bracket spacers on the opposite side or as a last resort cut it down? Basically refacing it, don't quote me on that though, structural integrity may be compromised

  • my experience dealing with rychtarski is kind of similar. Rubbing salt in the wound but safer to order from orlowski

  • safer to order from orlowski

This. Seen nothing but good things about him, can't say the same for Rychtarski. That said i'm very happy with mine although it was second hand. If i order a custom at some point it will be an Orlo

  • have you checked is the frame symmetrical in the dropouts or is it half a centimiter off the center line all the way?

  • My cx was the first slider disc frame he built, and the rohloff slider design did not allow small cogs (gears) to be used.

As soon as we realized this he instantly asked me to send it back. Rebuilt the whole rear end + respray in the colour of my choise, for free.

  • hopefully things turn out good with this road frame!

  • Haven't you bought four frames from him?

  • Yes I did, but this one is the first one that its not lugged and i didn't have any major issues with them.

  • I didn't but I will try to find the center line of the rear hub and compere it with the center line of the bottom bracket shell.
    Thanks

  • Send it back, that's not on for a new frame. When I got my frame from rychtarski he was perfectly nice (although I didn't have any problems to be fair)

  • surprised you are even considering taking it somewhere else? that is not on for a brand new custom frame
