    Er. It's just funny.
His team got beat, he's pretty narked off, some twerp is telling him something he thinks is wrong, there's history in the bantz between Liverpool and Chelsea. In that both of them are as bad as each other, but obviously they started it first. Where they is the opposite team to who you support.

I know you're an Arsenal fan now @mashton, but really, football fans jump about and sing and say silly things.

Yo Mash, they also make silly noises....gas noises against teams that have strong Jewish links. They sing murderer in the middle of Hillsborough silences, they sing "you know what to are "to a player of color en masse after he was called a Fucking black monkey by their captain.

    #S'oly bantz

  • They play croquet in Islington.

  • This is a real lesson on how one's life can quickly change once the internetz hath spoken...

    H-Bomb
    Oh the youtube comments...

It's truly terrible when they besmirch the good name of Irene on the comments...Tawdry stuff.

  • Are you trying to tell me Clive is racist?

  • Or that he participated in singing or starting anything like the behaviour we know the worst sections of fans have demonstrated?

  • Hehehe Peter Shilton. Which reminds me I was at this game. East Stand. My Chelsea mates gave me the impression nothing was at stake but research says they got relegated that season? Clive must have been in one of the what seemed to me quite scary stands I could see left, right or centre.

  • Here is the table before this game. I clearly remember the word relegation was not mentioned.

  • Oh dear poor Clive.
Why do these comment sections always bring out the homophobes and racists?

  • Feel a bit sorry for Clive now. Top lel comments on that link tho.

And Clive, asset managment....how does that work then? Will it buy me a house in Islington?

  • 1 point between the top 5 in the champ with boro and Derby in the mix. Could this be the football threads year? That's if I ignore all the whoppers expct the Derby whoppers that is.

  • That's a good idea

    puts everyone on ignore

  • You're forgetting the swivel-eyed whoppers from East Finchley...

  • @MultiGrooves well said.

@Chalfie No, its quite clear that he is responding to your comment about football fans in general, not Clive. Don't try and put words in his mouth. You won't reach.

  • Yep, Derby 5th from top and florist 6th from bottom. Just need both sides to move towards their respective ends by another three positions and this will be a very good season.

  • The way deadly Dougie is going its a distinct possibility. I can't face League One, again.

  • Almost brings a year to my eye that league table. At least we haven't fallen as far as Luton Town.

Thanks for cutting Liverpool off too.

  • Can some Chelsea fan please put one of these in clive's seat (box?) before the next game.

  • I noticed that too but lovely to see Chelsea back at the end of the table where they belong

  • Great comments on that link - something we can aspire to. It's all got a bit 1 dimensional in this thread.

  • Made me really question the direction this thread is going in and the value we all bring. We've been shat on by lawyers cracking funnies.

Can Pisti come back and just close this thread down?

  • You do know he's one game away from the sack?

  • @Multi_Grooves and @mashton

    I wasn't, I was seeking clarification.

I'm not trying to defend the silliness of football fans en mass, I'm trying to point out that there are distasteful elements to every football crowd. And when you look at two teams with bantz (a word I italicised because it's not bantz is it? it's not friendly and it's not dapper laughs) both sides think the other is worse and has evidence to show the other side as being worse. I'm thinking United (and their distasteful singing about Hillsborough) and Liverpool ("one slippery runway"). I'm thinking Derby and Leicester when I sat next to a fucking potato farming idiot shouting "Nigel, how's your dad?" all game. (it wasn't Mark).
Football comes from a tradition of tribalism, there's something to be said about the behaviour of crowds and riots. Where the crowd ends up displaying behaviour because that's what is assumed of it.

We all know that Liverpool FC have a huge tradition of singing and being positive and being the model football fans. However, they also have a tradition of violence, horrible songs, and terrible behaviour.

You can almost certainly replace Liverpool FC with anyone of the 92 league clubs.

Give it a rest with the jokes about height. It's tiresome.

  • Goldberg Sagwalla. I’m having one of them tonight. I’m fucking starving
