Well I've still got 1 1/4 coats of oiling to do yet. I sanded them with the sheet sander, then the detail sander, and then by hand, and then hoovered them and wiped them with a cloth and white spirit, and yet still found pencil marks and dirt marks I'd missed. Ah well.
Also I woke up this morning to a set of muddy paw prints leading up them. Thanks Tesla.

Good work! That was much faster than I expected. Now what are you going to do with the rest of half term?
I'm embarrassed about how long I took to do ours now...
