  • They go on CAAD10 so no harm in trying

Those blades are evil - they kill the paint where they are banded on and drive muck in to your brakes. KILL KILL KILL.

  • Thought about that. You'd need to do it pretty precisely on both sides. Might as well flog these as new and put it towards PDWs. Can't tolerate the thought of soaking feet all winter

  • @HoKe had some spare PDW kicking around.

  • Can't tolerate the thought of soaking feet all winter.

Best go for PDW, dry feet are amazing in winters.

  • @HoKe if @mrJL doesn't go for the pdw guards, I'd be interested!

  • Sorry guy, I swap them for a 45mm PDW and currently using them on my all-city nature boy disc.

  • No sweat, put to good use there!

  • pictures of the NB disk please??

  • Here you go (though probably for the wrong thread)

  • Guards look smart. Guess you're running 35c tyres?

Sorry for non thread related talk.

  • Cheers, they're currently running Clement 33 MXP, but I have got 35mm CycloX King for the couple of cross events coming up!

  • How mad would it be to get mudguard eyelets mounted on my Supersix?

It's mongrel enough already, can't make it much worse.

  • p-clips?

  • Raceblades, to make the forum angry!

  • But it doesn't have eyelets to mount your mudguard eyelets.

Nah, the guy who repaired my dropout was decent enough, and I can't see why not... maybe if this frame lasts to next winter I'll treat myself.

  • Still? what happen to the Schwable Marathon?

  • Sell it and get 2016 SuperSix.

    Mahoosh clearance for 28mm.

  • I don't think anyone would buy a 48cm Supersix with one carbon dropout and one replaced Ti, the Ti one having been subsequently dremeled out to make the dropouts align, and homebrew painted black and neon pink. Just a guess.

Next bike I buy, unless necessity forces my hand, will have no cable routing bar the hydro discs.

  • Thing is with those smaller Cannondale is that the clearance weren't decent to begin with as you've experiences, fitting mudguard will quite likely to be a real struggle.

  • I've got 25c OPs on Pacentis at the moment with a set of clip on guards, and there's plenty of room. I recon I could make it work, given some eyelets...

  • The eyelets is the least of your concern (PDW designed to be fitted without eyelets).

Your problem is the gap between the brake and the top of the tyres, if it look ok, then chance are it may not fit, especially when the brake likely to fold against the mudguard when operated.

  • I love my 18th CAAD10. So happy to have a winter bike again.
Was an excellent slightly drunken mistake bid on eBay a few months ago. Been hiding it since (out of shame because it has "small wheels on the wheels" (@6pt)).
Frankly- it rides a million times better than the Giant, and is happy on rough stuff.

  • 18th???

Fair play. Probably worth hanging on to this one.

  • Exaggeration- but deliberate- quite happy to take the piss out of myself.
    Its number 3.
