In other tandem related news, Matt has been talking to someone who works at Maddison (might even be 'on here') about hydro brakes on Tandems. Apparently the reason they aren't that common isn't because that they would boil the brake fluid but because of the stresses on the forks. That's if I remember right unless I got the wrong end of the stick @coldharbour?
Anyway, this will be getting hydro discs and the first parts of the groupset have been selected for order. R785 levers with a 9070 front derailleur. WRT to the rear derailleur, I'd have liked a 9070 long cage but they don't exist. As @dammit has both a 6870 long cage and a 9070 derailleur, he's bravely volunteered to see if we can transplant the long cage from the 6870 onto thethe 9070. Watch this space for tales of warranty voiding.
