  • Well, you gotta laugh.
You'd definitely have laughed at me, stark bollock naked, chasing the little rascal around the house with a wodge of loo paper.

  • hahaha... if it helps, a friend of mine has 2 cats and whenever they go away for holidays or when they don't come home for the night etc, their cats will shit on her and hubby's pillows. Every time without fail... cats are not usually allowed upstairs...

  • That is some world class blep your cat is doing there.

  • He's not fat - he's big boned.

  • This is Jack who we picked up from Battersea this morning. He's gradually settling in.

Thanks to @clefty for the cat carrier.

  • Jack looks like fun.

I let James and Higgs out today, first time in six weeks.

Higgs wandered around the balcony, lay down at the end with her head over the edge and watched the world for a while before coming back inside.

James leapt down almost at once, ran around, sniffed everything, then jumped over the wall into the neighbours - however he did come back relatively soon thereafter.

I let him out a couple of times after that, one quick run round and back in, second was longer - I ended up shaking a food container and he came belting out of a hedge, up the cat-pole and in through the cat flap.

He's currently asleep on the bed, Higgs is full-length on the floor near the fire.

    So - cautious success.

  • Jack looks like trouble.

  • Glad to hear it.

Tesla's had a rough day today; my sister is staying with her two pugs and she is not impressed with them at all.

She's just emerged slowly from under the bed and is now downstairs realising that all her possessions smell like dogs.

  • He's so small I'm hoping the trouble he causes will be proportionate. The hardest job at the moment is giving him peace and quiet with two excited children desperate to play with him.

  • He's so small I'm hoping the trouble he causes will be proportionate.

    Haha, you're so naive!

  • :-)

I was putting some dishes away yesterday so he decided to jump in the cupboard to have a closer look. Wasn't expecting that.

  • Jack is very cute. Good work on the rehoming, I'm sure he'll be very happy even with excited children making his life difficult!

My cat is obsessed with cupboards of all shapes and sizes. He's been trapped inside them so many times because he zips in the second your back is turned and wedges himself behind things so you don't see him when you're checking it's clear to close the door. You'll think "hmm, where is Timo? Haven't seen him for a while. Can't find him anywhere. Wait, did I open a cupboard earlier?" and then you'll go and look at the cupboard and there will be one ginger paw sticking out of a tiny crack in the door, scrabbling desperately for freedom. He is an idiot who will never learn. Hopefully Jack has more brainpower than that, though.

  • @andyp good luck with Jack, hope he'll enjoy his new home and turn out a decent lad.

our Suzy is now 5 months old, with us for 3. this is her sweet side. for a couple of hours per day though... she's bonkers, and incredibly wild! zipping through the house, jumping, sliding and sometimes running the walls, backflipping even. black eyes, ears flat, unapproachable without the risk of bodily harm ;-)

  • It won't. Now you have singed your life away to years of being woken up at stupid o'clock! Welcome to the club.

  • Awwwww... She is soooooo cute!

What is she after this time? ;-)

  • she's about
20 hrs sweet & purring/overly curious following our every footstep/sleeping
4 hrs bonkers (at most inconvenient times, e.g. when trying to: cook, eat with friends, watch a movie, sleep)
