Occupying the moral high ground (even when cycling with headphones or failing to wear a helmet)

Some utter twunt in his full team kit (legit sponsored rider) skipping lights and pavement riding round RP today. Firstly why? Secondly, why be such a bad advert for your teams sponsors and make yourself so obvious? It's bad enough when the average rider does it.

Was it BMC? Saw a guy head to toe in BMC gear on a BMC bike in the park an hour ago...however he did stop for the pedestrian lights that I happened to be walking across, perhaps slightly begrudgingly....

Given that the guy who runs the team has just been banned for failing to provide an anti-doping sample, I doubt their image could get much worse.

Last night in the rain was in the car with my partner. Cyclist in black, no lights, cycling towards us on wrong side of the road.

Not sure what I hated more about that. Font is almost more offensive than the music, beaten only by the epic tool riding.

Thing is, if you ride around the RPs (Regents' or Richmond) you end up riding near knobcheeses.

I'd spent all day in retail therapy trying to forget.

Was walking my tools down to Shoreditch High street station this evening after a long week, found 200+ cyclists blocking the road and pavement outside the station. Hello, excuse me, I said, trying to find my way through, and instead of making way a few of them purposefully blocked my way and said, 'sorry you'll have to wait'. I didn't wait, but carried on. It was lucky they got the message before a confrontation occurred. I don't understand what these groups hope to achieve by getting in everyone's way for the sake of it.

Edit: I shouldn't judge the whole group by the behaviour of a few, however those who purposefully moved their bikes to block my way did the rest of the group no favours.

Last Friday of the month = Critical Mass. Usually a few road warriors in there who like an excuse to be confrontational.
