Should I get the standard or pro team overshoes? Never tried either before
-
• #23028
PT are thin material and waterproof, probably won't offer much warmth for winter.
Ive got Gore softshells for really cold weather. -

PT are thin softshell, not really waterproof. Good wind and shower protection, but not all day protection. Standard are neoprene and therefore warm in the wet, but not waterproof either.

endura neoprene + kitchen foil/cling film.
Although buying consumable item like overshoe from rapha will guarantee Buyer status. -

Pro team softshell versus Classic softshell...
How much slimmer fit is the PT? I'm a medium in classic jersey, have a large Transfer but always felt it's too large but have medium in gabba longsleeve which is mega slim fit so much confusion abounds

Or do I even need one if I haz gabba??

You will need to go for a large in the pro team softshell and medium in the classic I think. They are quite different jackets so it would be worth seeing them to make a reasoned decision. I love the PT softshell although it would not work so well for slow-pace winter miles. It is designed for tempo bad weather riding, which it excels at. The classic will allow more freedom for layering as it is a more relaxed fit. The PT is very close fitting, which it is supposed to be. I normally wear a medium in Pro Team but I went for a large in the jacket as I found the medium to restrictive.

Can anyone comment on the fit of the club jersey? Had both a David Phinny and pro team jersey in small that were too small and don't want to make the same mistake.
-
• #23040
Never owned the Phinny but have small and medium in the club and both fit, medium for a relaxed fit and small for a more fitted jersey (which I prefer). You may need the medium if the Phinny jersey didn't fit, wasn't this based on a long sleeve club jersey?

Large. Only used about three times, although it does have a chain oil mark. I will attempt to clean that before selling, obviously.
