Easy to hit that if you're falling off a cliff.

Some FKW was track standing on the inside of a bus so no one could filter into the advance stopping zone. When I (nicely) mentioned this to him he said all I had to say was 'on your wheel'. I explained he should just not block the area and he repeated that I should just say 'on your wheel'.
Odd behavior. We aren't all in cycling clubs and best to just not block the area first. It is very hard to say anything without anyone getting defensive though. Perhaps not something I've mastered

I have no idea. It was so confusing I wasn't even sure he had a clue what I was talking about

Lots of Police searching the route of my commute. Helicopter overhead and search teams in the water. Looks like someone did a reggie perrin.

When I was stopped at a light near Waterloo last night a man asked me if I was interested in life modelling and handed me his card.
£40 for 2.5 hours apparently.

It's a thing, but not when you're stationary. Generally you'd say it if you've ridden up to a rider who's going along and you're wanting to take a rest behind them.
If they're blocking a box with a trackstand... i dunno, push em over or something. Then stand on their wheel.

The 'classes' take place above a pub in Vauxhall. What made it awkward was that he kept catching up with me at the lights. He showed me another business card with his work on it.

26 minutes for 3.4 miles. On a bike! Bollocks. Even with traffic no RLJing.
You could cycle backwards faster than that.

Good work on the vid.
Looks like a particularly slow route to cycle, but in the youtube video comments he does say he's tried lots of other routes and has always ended up returning to this one. Sometimes the most direct or fastest route is not the one you want to end up doing day after day.
1h9m to run in for me, compared to 35m. Should get faster on the run as I lose weight and get fitter but probably not to the point that I can do 11km in under 40 minutes (I'll be happy with sub 50 minutes for 11k!)
Can't think how slow I'd have to go not to have to need a shower by the time I get into work (by either bike or foot) as I sweat even thinking about exercise, but then counting shower time at work isn't fair unless you regularly skip the shower at home before you cycled/walked or bus/train/tube-wankered.

It would be if he swam in down the canal, cycled home and than ran back in.

Particular journeys may be quicker using particular transport modes. NEWS AT ELEVEN.
Train journey to work for me takes exactly the same length of time as cycling to work. Where's my appreciative Youtube subscribers?

You can't get from my front door to my office any quicker than by bike. Possibly motorbike actually, now I come to think of it.
But they made a documentary about me so nerr!
Admittedly it was about my involvement in several pyramid schemes and not about bikes.

Bike also cheaper than running for me, and definitely cheaper than motorbike, bus or train.
Motorbike would be much faster and cheaper (in the long run) as I'd probably only live another year or so before I did something stupid.

First commute to work on the bike in 1 1/2 weeks having finally recovered from being ill, the morning rain bounced off my radiant body as I grinned all the way to work - love cycling.

I've stolen the rear wheel from the mudguard bike to build up the CX bike, so I got a very wet arse.
Yesterday the sun was out at 11 degrees and I ended up walking in a t-shirt with my coat off thinking "Hm it's a bit warm". Signs of being in the UK quite a long time... In Siberia that's bikini weather no doubt :P
ATM it's 11 degrees and cloudy/damp though... I barely wear shorts unless it's really warm, windchill on the aul knees I can do without.
The speed monitoring sign said 23 mph, which I doubt at it's Monday and I've the tourer out with a big bag hanging off it.
