Well, it's on. Flat punctured tub for reference only. Still need to check spacing to get it as close to centered as possible. Only had a 105mm axle, gonna pick up a 108mm this weekend.
Original rear axle parts for reference, I went to a bearing shop that had 9mm inner diameter sealed bearings, and we found a size that would fit into the hub (609-2RSH, made in Italy, measurements are 9-24-7). Not perfect, not original, but it fits a front axle, and locks down.

That looks about as aero as that bottle.
Or the rear wheel for that matter.
Sell them to a HHSB-type and buy literally any other wheels.

Each attempt to convert wheels to front/rear just convinces me more that buying the correct wheel in the first place is the best idea.

yes indeed, this post was started by me, and at the end i bought a hed trispoke FRONT wheel.
sounds like it will go fine, think thats about the same story as the freewheel hed tris and freewheel discs
