To be honest, I think a lot of people feed other peoples cats with loads of treats and / or human foods. When I was away for a long time last year, I left Patch with my now ex boyfriend, he knew very well that Patch is on a strict diet, not that she has any health issue or overweight, but I think it's good to keep good habits from a young age. I left him enough food for my entire duration away... And guess what? When I got back, I was shocked at the type of food she has been eating and what was brought for her... It was probably half cat food half human food and brands of cat food that I ban for ethical reasons...
The cat indeed had some jolly time as far as eating went...
