  • @anidel

I found a Moser columbus SLX, which is my dream bike really.
These are the first generation and much harder to find.

  • can't wait for pictures then :)

  • The frameset! Needs a restoration obviously...

  • Needs a restoration obviously

Obviously? From the picture it doesn't look bad at all!

I would keep the paint (if original) as is; looks great.

  • Hi

Unusual color scheme. Do you know which team used it ??

  • @Tijs it's pretty bad, but wait 'till you see my plans!

  • @frog I've never seen this color scheme, no info yet about it...

  • I have a confirmation that it is indeed a 1984 frameset. The original color was a blue fade as you can see in the picture.

  • Awesome :)

  • Minor update, frame is in restoration for a few weeks now.
Slow progress but I have collected the shifters en front- / rearmech.

I have decided to use attached image (with Moser) as a reference.
That frame has the exact same cable routing (the hole on the site is rather special).

  • Similar but, with the hole on the top

  • Like a lot of people, I've been looking for one of these for years.

  • I'm looking forward to seeing sprayed frame. Should look the nuts !

  • This is gonna be a fantastic bike. Can't wait for the pictures once it is finished.

  • Does anyone know approx numbers made of the Va Por la Horas mk 1 , 2 & 3?
    I've often wondered.
    Si

  • @Si46 I think the first generation (1984) was limited to 500.

I found this scanned brochure, not much info but it's nice to see a original piece.

  • Yes - that's a great brochure page - I like the head-badge. - I think the seatpost bolt moved in 1988 ish - would be nice to find out how many of these were made -maybe not so many as the chrono was in production around then. (they did actually make some earlier frames with bolt on top (see pic in Moser's garage in magazine article)

  • More parts:

    Regina CX freewheel and chain.
Still not sure about the toeclips... Any thoughts?

Saddle will be Vetta (Moser edition)

  • Coming on well. Re toeclips ALE were widely used at the time as were Christophe and Campagnolo. I like the Campagnolo toestraps but they mark really easily so for use a much cheaper set of Christophe straps and then put the Campagnolo on when ready to hang on wall on your retirement (Campag ones are quite thisk and scuff easily when fitted and removed from holes in pedals.

  • Paint is done! Very pleased with the result...!
