I knew if I just wrote 'needed to cover a large area' someone would comment, which was why I added the Computrainer bit - the base on it was the size of a single bed. #hippyisfat

I use interlocking foam gym tiles, grey ones, similar to:

I needed to cover quite a large area under the Computrainer. They're maybe 10mm thick and pretty good.
