  • UKIP seem to be doing quite well in the polls.

What on earth is that all about?

  • Protest vote innit.

  • Epic troll is epic

  • Everyone got their Labour posters up in their windows?

  • I've been getting into Maoism.

  • It's all just Mao Mao Mao with you lot isn't it?

  • Protest vote innit.

  • Didn't catch the Labour manifesto launch. Key question is this: is it good or bad? I will vote for a good manifesto, but not a bad one.

  • poor deluded woman. in her defence, she voted tory before dish face broke his promise to not cut tax credits for the working poor.

tell me again about how labour will never win the vote of working class tories?

  • labour will never win the vote of working class tories

I would genuinely be happy to be proved wrong on that. PM question time went quite well for Corbyn this week, hopefully he can capitalise on discontent around the tax credit policy.

  • hopefully he can capitalise on discontent around the tax credit policy

my facebook feed currently consists exclusively of this story posted and shared by various corbyn supporting groups in individuals I'm subscribed to, so it looks like they're trying...

  • The Tories are hoping that if they do the hard stuff now all will be forgotten as they pump up the property market pre election.

  • I've seen a lot of comments along the lines of "she was happy enough to vote for the Tories when she thought that it'd be other people who lost out, but now it's happening to her..."

This is what I mean about it being important to paint the Tories as horrible bastards. If she'd stopped to think then she could have saved herself some tears.

  • Actually ignore the above (I'm leaving it there out of humility) as it's kind of a non-sequitur.

    Friday afternoon.

  • Why should my taxes go to subsidise a nail-bar which doesn't make a profit though?
    Asking for a friend.

  • she's probably a racist anyway

  • According to the Cambridge University student newspaper Varsity, Hunt told students: “You are the top 1%. The Labour party is in the shit. It is your job and your responsibility to take leadership going forward.”

Oh fuck off Tristram, you white fucking knight of politics. Swooshing down to save the underclasses from themselves.

I wonder where he thinks the the Labour party came from, because it wasn't created to get Oxbridge types into power.

    Ukip

The vast, rambling and swiftly-disowned 2010 Ukip manifesto did consider cycling at some length, albeit with considerable eccentricity. Cyclists should be obliged to dismount and walk around roundabouts, the party believed, have compulsory insurance and pay for bike parking.

The 2015 version has none of this, but that’s because cycling is not mentioned once in the 76 pages of the 2015 manifesto.

What is there in the brief section on transport shows Ukip remain the party of the four-wheeled rather than two-wheeled, and too often the speeding, deadly four-wheeled variety. Here’s what they say on speed cameras:

UKIP will only allow installation of speed cameras when they can be used as a deterrent at accident black spots, near schools and in residential areas where there are specific potential dangers. We will not permit speed cameras to be used as revenue-raisers for local authorities.

Ukip would also remove road tolls and do find space in the manifesto for a pledge to end VED on vehicles over 25 years old.
