And I thought that SG was a bargain.

Those Gibson's are super cheap, it seems rude not to get one.

Because they fucked them all up with that stupid Les Paul 100 logo... Shocking...
Got my Mk 1 Guv'nor and Coloursound Dipthoniser back from Tym's in Brisbane, he did a lovely job and they both sound terrific again... Cheap too, only $115 all in... He replaced quite a few parts on the Dipthoniser, hard to come by... Would deffo bang again...
In other news, tried all his fuzzes out in the shop the other day but they were all a bit samey to my ears... I'm looking for something to replace my dearly departed Supa Tonebender which is super skronky and trebly, couldn't get on with any of them... I also tried his boost pedals and realised that a new MXR micro amp is perfect for the job... Ordered one online this morning, should be with me tomorrow...

At that price you could just stick one in the loft and sell it in a few years though surely! USA made Gibsons must be a good investment?

A USA LP Jr or SG are super cheap right now, I almost pulled the trigger on a 2014 white single cut LP Jr the other day, AU$950... Peanuts!
PS Almost forgot, my bass player's got a 'Robrite' Ventures bass (Mosrite homage, his name's Rob)... Some guy (not Tym) made him it, I'm getting a six string version... AU$900 and any neck profile/pickup configuration I want... :D

Ashamed to say I tried it in the shop and then ordered one online, I saved $50... But I have put $400+ through the till in the last month so I don't feel that guilty...
It sounds great, even at about quarter volume you get a really big boost... Full whack is unusable and may blow your amp...

Yours was way more subtle tho', it wouldn't do what the new ones do... Yours was/is a beautiful, invisible overdrive... I hear a lot of that was down to shit QC back in the day... i.e. they all sounded different...

Just had a rush of blood to the head and ordered a Fishman Loudbox. Was fed up of reading reviews and endless internet opinions of various acoustic amps and just went with the one i'd tried. Pub gigs here I come!

Refreshed acoustic is teh bomb. Weirdly, after playing that for a few hours and loving it, going back to my little Guild, I appreciated that all anew as well.
Amp getting delivered today.

Father-in-law dragged his '68 Yamaha FG-140 out of the cupboard this morning, he bought it new when he was serving in Vietnam... Should sound lovely with a new set of strings on it...

Mojo right there.
This was a good page.
I was in GAK yesterday and heard them saying that loads of shops will probably price-match Amazon on these offers. They're basically resigned to shovelling all the 2015's out of the door.
