But looks fugly and isn't designed to specifically work with Macs so has no gesture support (the latter to me when using OS X is pretty much essential).

How useful is gesture support with a mouse (as opposed to trackpad)? I tried one the other day and found it pretty awkward compared to a mouse with wheel/buttons/etc.

Give it a few hours and it's second nature. I use a wacom for everything but finder where I usually mouse instead as it's a lot quicker
