At that time it wasn't the balls of my feet that were the problem, it was corns on both little toes which he pared down with a scalpel. Legacy of tight shoes in my youth. Using a pumice stone doesn't work for me, so the Body Shop foot file once a week does the trick.
A visit to the chiropodist would be useful with self maintenance afterwards, interspersed with pedicures for those 'feeling a bit flush and I deserve a treat' moments.

Ok, I'm going to book it - what has it come to when the idea of someone slicing bits off my feet with a scalpel seems the best option? And then I'm also going to do the self-maintenance/treat combo afterwards. #becauseimworthit
Was the chiropodist painful? Could you walk afterwards? Mine are covering the balls of my feet :(
I know regular foot maintenance is important but I just think my life would be easier if I was fabulously wealthy and could afford to pay someone to do it for me. Any time I try scrubbing my feet I end up with sore arms and no real dent in my feet.
