Are Chris King R45 hubs noticeably cheaper in the US? Going there in Dec and wondering about investing. From a bit of Googling it looks like there isn't much in it but I have no experience of good online US retailers and even less of LA bike shops....

Or go for something cheaper that work just as well.

Only nice thing about the CK is the engagement point which IMHO only noticeable when you're riding slowly.
