Yup. Though on their site there are no high-res images to download, so I reserve judgement until then. Great idea though. I can imagine it being incredible in low light. I mean, theoretically I can just throw away my camera bag.

Yea lets see how good all these tiny sensors / the image "fusing" is..
-

$1,699. Lol. You can get a D750 from B&H for $100 more. Or a few Richos or a Fuji something-or-other.
It's an interesting idea but will almost certainly have artifacts, terrible battery life, god-knows-what else and won't be as good in low light as aps-c.
Also, you're limited to the in-camera processing so RAW aint an option. They should at least team-up with VSCO and get some built-in presets.
Still better that lytro.

I really like this theme. Nice work!

Not so sure on that, merging multiple images is a way of reducing noise, so theoretically could be great.
Says on the website it shoots raw DNG files.
35-150mm lens. So I'd still need something for my wide shots #neversatisfied

Also comparing it to a D750 isn't really a fair comparison, the whole point is that it's pocket sized, so that's the premium you are paying for.

this excites me. I bought the g7x when it came out and that has a 1" sensor. I love it but haven't read up on these yet.
-
• #10835
Yeah, they look like a nice riff on that sensor. IQ will be about the same (assuming the glass is up to snuff) so it's really down to handling.
The G5 looks really nice, though.

Camera and waterproof case for sale, sorry for the spam :)

lolololol
I realise i'm a page late, but just LOOK at the gross pp in the example shots. Are they serious? iPhone shots have less detail smothering compression.

Exactly. Them pano stitches...

Ricoh GR or RX100?
Pocketability is fairly important as this'd be a carry everywhere/always (incl jersey pocket) sort of thing.
-
• #10841
Gonna say GR. They're both equally pocketable but the ricoh has a bigger sensor and will give you more information to work with. Can't fault the RX100 though so either is fine. Depends on if you want zoom, I guess.
-
• #10842
^this. Prime vs zoom basically. I like primes and the Ricoh always comes with me on the bike in a little waterproof bag in a jersey pocket

Last camera I bought was Fuji X100 5 years ago.
Now I want cheap zoom ability.Whats important:
Zoom as much as I can get
Lens and image quality
Not too priceyWhats not important:
Style/look/whatever
Can be anything i.e. SLR, compact etc.
Sensor size
Used/new doesent matter.Come at me internet.
