Got taken out by some fat MAMIL while stationary at the zebra crossing just before Vauxhall Bridge north-bound.
He ploughed into my rear wheel on my right hand side and then claimed he had been overtaking me... clearly hadn't taken the time to recognise I was stopped because peds were crossing.Hole torn in the knee of my bib tights. Need to get the sewing kit out tonight :(

I joined the Clavicle Club during Thundercrit on Saturday. Spent 2 nights in Homerton Hospital thanks to other additional complications.
Haven't seen an x-ray but my discharge papers describe the break as "Multi-fragmentary fracture of the middle third of the shaft of the right clavicle. Mild displacement at the fracture site."
Can anyone translate that for me? Anyone suffered something similar?I was told it's pretty clean break so they're not overly keen to plate it. Having done some reading, I'm definitely leaning towards pushing for surgery with my main motivation being recovery time (don't want to lose an entire summer of riding and racing just as the weather gets good!)
The Doctors weren't very communicative with me but my Fracture Clinic appointment is next Thursday so I guess I'll learn more then.
Sleeping is impossible due to discomfort. Having only one viable arm makes every task almost impossible. The pain is surprisingly mild though which is an unexpected up-side.
6 week sick-note from work helps too, though I imagine I'll go mad with boredom by then! -
Yeah I’ve seen a few videos and my own onboard go pro footage seems to support your narrative @HoKe.
I had no idea the crash took out so many others behind as well. Apologies to all.@roboto I’m reall not sure there’s anything more you could have done from a race director point of view.
Crash aside, that B Final was absolutely the ride of my life and I had the best time chasing down wheels and moving up the order.
Now to rest up and get strong. I’ll be back ASAP and 100% keen on racing Thundercrit again!

Fantastic day. Props to all the organisers and everyone involved. Alas it was me who crashed in the Men’s B Final.
Apologies for all the chaos and destruction it caused. Hope noone else was hurt and that I didn’t delay the main event too much. I still need to see if I can salvage the GoPro footage (anyone else got any shots of the crash?)Heard clapping as we drove past in the ambulance which was much appreciated. Love this community!!

Looking for some data recovery advice please...
Water damaged MacBook Air 13" mid-2013. It's dead and an identical replacement has been ordered and received.
I'm looking to restore the data from the dead machine on to the new one (assuming the SSD isn't fried). The dead machine won't turn on so cloning the drive in-situ isn't an option.
Those OWC caddies are prohibitively expensive for the 2013+ MBA SSDs (since apple changed the connector). If I were to put the old SSD in the new machine and it's damaged, what are the chances of it killing the new machine?
Are data recovery services worth the money? Are they trust-worthy? Any recommendations from the forum?
Thanks in advance!

I had this issue for a while. Turns out the fix for me was to wear the stap a little lower on my chest.
I try to line up the top of the strap a touch below the bottom of my sternum. This means the two sensors are sitting on my ribs rather than the base of my pectoral muscles (the movement/contraction of which might have been confusing the HRM previously).
