Now I know I can ride a sub-50 it's going to niggle some stupid part of my brain until I do it. But if my focus changes to silly bikepacking shite next year it'll kill my TTing. Too many races, not enough time.

Don't think so. 25mile TT are good training for ultra racing.

Maybe if I ride to Wales the day before and then sleep on the side of the road beforehand? :)

Fine, no sleeping, I'll just stay up for two days straight, eating nothing but 'food' found in service stations, wearing three week old unwashed knicks.

A friend split the zip on one of those and customer service was awful. The eBay guy seems pretty good from what I've heard.

I've owned a few of those.
Decent quality but took a while to establish the correct size. Pad is more comfortable than my old Rapha Condor JLT one.
I'm 5'11"-6', slim but not skinny, with moderate legs, slim arms, and size small fits as well as I could expect (could be tighter around the arms, perfect elsewhere). Bought a medium to begin with, but now a 6'4" lanky mate has it.
I have a spare small, cut for somebody with larger arms/upper body (apparently custom-made, but un-needed, so was discounted) which has a hidden zip, if that's any use. PM if interested/for photos.

Was this frame originally intended for use with gears? Any issues with chainring/chainstay clearance, or getting the rear wheel secure in dropouts which weren't meant for a fixed wheel?

Yes, originally a geared P2C with a trashed front hanger which I modified and got resprayed. No problem with the cranks/chainrings or rear wheel, but obviously you have to space them out to 130mm rather than 120mm.

Thanks. May I ask, with 130mm spacing at the rear, have you been able to use the frame with a disc? If so, how?

All Zipp discs have track threading on one side so slot right in without having to change anything.

If you shove a sprocket on the fixed side of the Zipp disc is it really as simple as just flipping the wheel over?

Is there any reason why you can't just leave the freewheel exposed on the other side and use a QR skewer?

I think you'd have to leave the free hub in place and use a qr, but I'd use a chain tug as an extra precaution.

Do you even maths? Chainline doesn't move if you add (or remove) equal amounts of spacing on both sides. Anything else on a disc wheel shifts your tracking, which is a bigger problem than chainline especially on a P2/P3 which doesn't have a huge amount of chainstay clearance for the tyre.

So... I've just seen one of the old style Alu P2 frame sets for sale...

However it's a 54, rather than my current 56 P2c. This means that I would loose 19mm of stack and 11mm of reach compared to my current frame. All the other angles (78º seatpost etc.) would remain the same.

I'm currently running one of TSTR's low stack headsets with my stem slammed, however I'd also like to go a little bit lower so using 10-15mm of spacers shouldn't be a problem. My current stem is relatively short at 80mm, so switching to a 90mm stem doesn't sound unreasonable either? Is there any reason why this is going to fit horribly?

Also roughly what would you expect to pay? The classic style carbon frames seem to go for £500-600ish but I'm not sure about the older aluminium ones. It's currently priced a bit above my budget.

Coupla hundred, I'd have thought. They're still decent bikes, @specialist has been setting course records around London West on his this season, beating his own times on a Giant Trinity.

Do the Alu P2s definitely have track ends?
