I've drawn potent runes on the side-walls.

will I die?
Less certain is whether or not you'll be forever preserved in tire sealant like south london's equivalent of that mosquito in Jurassic Park.

If you can get a friend or relative to update this thread with the outcome plz that would be great.

Someone might spot me, I've put the same setup on both my Dalsnibba and the Time Machine.

I'm just wondering what a seal-ant hybrid would look like

Is there any love out there for the Challenge 27mm Paris-Robuaix 'open tubular' (i.e. clincher)?
Found a shop in my current neck of the woods who sell them for the equivalent of £27Can't quite work out if this review:

Covers this product:

Slightly different numbers. -

Lovely tyres, puncture magnet.

Meaning the "Double Puncture Protection Strip" is basically bollox? Or is there a chance we're talking about two different generations of the same tyre?
Same confusion in the comments thread for this relatively lukewarm review:

Challenge Strada Bianca is what the Paris Roubaix should have been, plus they both came up 30mm (my old PR is 30mm).
Or get the GP4000s II in 28mm.

Something just slashed the fuck out of my GP4000SII sidewalls, which is EXTREMELY annoying considering I'm not sure I've covered 1000km on it.
Should I replace it with another GP4000 25, or get a 27c Open Pave for the Winter?
Obviously ideal world, I'd get another GP for summer and a set of Open Paves' for the oncoming grimness, but I am super super broke at the moment so can only really afford one.

Pave. GP4000s are very good tyres, but not up to winter. Pave isn't significantly slower either.

Can I get a 27c in the arse end of my Supersix tho... and with room for some small guards?
-
• #2089
Small guard?

Schwalbe durano (non-plus) is a mile eater

25mm Pave?
-
• #2093
This is most likely the option I will take, yes.
-
• #2094
25mm is the safer option: both the 25mm and 27mm use the same width tread, so there's more sidewall exposed on the 27mm.
Ed and myself had our callipers out a couple of pages back: not everyone was as fascinated as we were.

TBF, GP4000sII are still excellent tyres, but they also suffer from the same vulnerable sidewall that made the tyres feel amazing and comfortable to ride.
Go for whichever you can afford (GP or OP in 25mm).

I just burst my back tyre whilst braking. I cycle fixed with no brakes. Can someone suggest a super thick, but slick tyre for my back wheel please?

Still haven't settled on a slick for my Arkose, currently running WTB Nanos, looking at Compass Barlow Pass but can't help wonder if there's something in the cheaper touring tyres e.g. Schwalbe Marathons that 'proper' tourers seem to swear by.
Whats the difference? Are the Barlow Pass Worth £80 when I can get a set of marathons for £34 - or is there something else I should be considering.
Mainly used for commuting, mix of roads and sometimes bonus gravel/towpath. Thoughts?

After recommendations for decent 26 x 2.2ish slick / light tread for city riding?
Currently on old 26x 1.75 Panaracer Crosstown / Schwalbe Marathon both look a bit small due to huge clearances.

I've seen Halo Twin rails around a lot for big slicks - http://goo.gl/HWH2GU or if you want something proper spendy http://goo.gl/eBrpk2
No personal experience riding either unfortunately though.
It breaks the magic combo.
