I use SRAM 1x so the thick thin chainring plus a clutch rear mech means the chain never comes off.

Not a joke, nope.
I'm using a N/W chainring up front, but a standard road mech out back (non-clutch) so the thinking is that this setup can lead to losing your chain when the terrain gets hairy.
Doesn't seem to be the case so far, but once you add mud into the equation I think i'll be cursing my tight fisted budget.
