You don't have to join the league. The £18 should get you everything you need to race on Sunday.

Do I have to wear a helmet? What does this mean then:

All youth and senior riders must pay a £10 League registration fee at their first event.

Yes you have to wear a helmet.

My understanding is that everyone has to pay the tenner.
