Thoughts on Xperia Z5 compact? Need a new phone, HTC one M7 is having bad screen issues and broken bits) but I don't want anything larger.
Like the idea of it's size, a bit of waterproofness and expandable memory. Not so keen on price.
Other suggestions?

The new nexus phones kinda annoyed me. I want the N6P in the N5x size.
I guess I'll probably get the N6P though, as I have to give back the phone I've borrowed.Oh, but at least I can get Google Fi.

balls just realized, the N6P is huge and how about tracking rides / running ? :(

You should try software from hardware vendors. That really takes the biscuit.

I like the Nexus 6P, it looks really good. I'm going to see if I can buy a rucksack to carry it around in.

I've gone from Nexus 4 to Moto E and I don't miss the Nexus

My 2nd gen moto g has packed up after 18 months of steady abuse.
Now on a Huawei P8 which I bloody hate and an going to flunk soon.
Moto G, Moto X or the new Nexus 5 for me I think. Dual sim is a must.
Mrs is still using my old N4 which gives me more faith in LG than Motorola or Huawei...

What's the Moto G got/not got that would sway me away from Nexus devices?
-
• #16419
it's cheaper

Moto G is waterproof, more or less and definitely available with dual sim.
-
• #16421
Cost isn't that much of an issue. Waterproof is nice, but I've thus far managed to avoid dropping any of my phones in a toilet so I think I'm ok with that. Dual-SIM? Not sure what I'd use that for. What would be more handy would be the same number on more than one phone..

That's pretty much standard over here.
Dual sim is handy if you've got a work phone and don't want carry two phones. Also good if you have a data plan on, say 3 and call plan with another provider.

Apparently Moto E is better than Moto G.

• #16424
Yeah, guess that makes sense. I try and keep work stuff off my phone.

In what way?
Moto are the closest to 'vanilla' Android I believe, though only the Nexus will be running Marshmallow (https://www.android.com/versions/marshmallow-6-0/) out of the box.
