Knew engineers had ensured the clear acrylic sheeting was thick enough to support my weight
I can't find any footage, but I bet that the selfies stopped at that point!
+1 on the claustrophobia. Completely forgot about it until I'd signed myself up for caving under Budapest, which involved squeezing through all these really tight spaces like this happy chap
It was a fun experience though.

I am afraid of using semi colons in emails. You're an inspiration to me.

Yeah,
I saw that story, but declined to click on it.
Can't face having my rational scientific worldview challenged!
It was strong enough when I walked on it. -

I've heard mixed reviews, but I'll definitely watch it at some point.

Propellers.
Under water ones more than aeroplanes. They just creep me out, not sure why.
Certainly falls under the "irrational" category, they don't need to be moving, of even fitted, just seeing one fills me with dread. -

It first manifested when I lived in Poole and there used to be Sunseekers dry-docked in their showroom by the road, well creeped me out, seeing massive propellers just next to where I was cycling

I had a girlfriend who would vomit and pass out if she even read the word spider let alone see a photo of a spider or heaven forbid a real one.
Interestingly she has managed to get a lot better since having kids. Still utterly petrified of them but no longer throws up of blacks out.
Phobias can be crazy powerful things.

haha, yup, as a kid on a rainy day trip to a Navy day at Portsmouth. I saw a submarine in dry dock and got the horrors. Wrongness.
In the last year, I’ve had to do odds and ends at Falmouth dockyard. That’s been interesting to gauge the skin crawl effect : )

Fine with bugs, not keen on snakes, but I just don’t like the murderous bastards I’m not scared of them.
For me torn cardboard freaks me out..don’t like touching it, I will but I get a shiver of fear and revulsion.

This reminded me of a new one that has come on fairly recently: revolving doors. Something about the weight of them and their momentum once they get going sets me off thinking about decapitation. I don't care if I am holding people up or even if I miss my window and have to go round a second time, I have to make sure the timing is perfect before I enter/exit.
