Weird Q: I want a poor pair of winter tights. I had a pair from Tenn bought for about £15 offa ebay a few years ago. It was unremarkable: no padding, no whizz-bang technical material, not waterproof. In terms of innovation it offers loops to go under the feet and a short zip at the bottom. Thing is I loved them, all they did was add an extra layer of material under my usual shorts and kept my calves a little warmer. Eventually the zip went to I wanted to replace but Tenn don't do them any more. I ended up buying some other tights with that Roubaix material and pads so I just bake in them at anything other than -5.
So I want a cheap pair of tights, no pads, no bibs, just something I can wear on my commute and compliment my current commuting set up. Any suggestions?
I resorted to a spare pair of running tights to get me through last winter. They went over my bibs and leg warmers.
I didn't die and I didn't need to spend £xx on Rapha.
