Is there a good target W/kg to aim for to ride that kind of time?
It's all about W/CdA in TTs... https://twitter.com/xavierdisley/status/538269709939253248
ooops... that chart isn't actually W/CdA, but still...

Actually I might've been thinking about F11/10 not F20/10... whatever the fast one is near Tring! :S

Don't think the F10/10 is used much, here is my strava of it. https://www.strava.com/activities/334287303 Think the F11/10 would suit me, it looks like it's all downhill!

The ICC open events are all on the F15, which is also a fast course which benefits from a significant down hill start. (We switched courses when I decided not to promote on 70mph roads this year after a stressful day promoting an event on the F20 last year.)
We have two open events in 2016, late July and late september but the late september one is a 2-up just for fun.

There are other events on the E2/10 that you'd be able to get into with that LTS time, just don't try ones that association only. Anyways, Lea Valley run one in early May that also has a separate middle marker event. The E2/10 is very reliant on weather though, you might be best heading elsewhere.

Actually, after a quick search, the only events other than ECCA ones are the Lea Valley as mentioned, and VTTA events where you would definitely need to be a VTTA member and not just aged over 40.

Or you could join Lea Valley- pm me if interested..
There are rumours that the E2s days are finally numbered, not next year but possibly 2017.

Tommmmmm
Did you get in?
I ask as the club chairman - I'll probably be marshalling.

Oh for sure, I just don't have a way of accurately measuring my drag other than the coasting method. I dunno how others do it without a controlled environment.

Fastest in last three seasons
Not that it matters for the OP, but qualifying for national championships is on your time since January 1st in the preceding year, not LTS.

The Aerolab feature of Golden Cheetah?

There are other courses you can play with rather than just heading to the comp record ones (E2/10, V718). You just have to get creative - F20/10 & F11/10 aren't too hard to get in, P612 and P415 aren't bad, P881 & P881r, Q10/19, A10/19, H10/17r etc.
There are club events on the HCC175 (Farnborough and Camberley CC) every month starting in March which you can use to get a better qualifying time for an open, same with Farnham/North Hampshire and the H10/8, and the Bognor Regis P901. Do a ~22 or even a <22 on those and then you'll be fine for most opens.

11th/73 on Walbury Hill in the Newbury RC promotion today. Great event, closed roads and beautiful weather. On paper not a hill for fixed but I think it worked well. It's actually the highest point in the south east of England, and the view from the top was brilliant. Tejvan and Maryka took home £500 each for winning, not a bad morning out!

Any meat you can put on that bone?

1:51:09 new 50mi PB and 4th in the Welsh 50 Champs. Not riding 330k the day before meant I was ~40W up on last week's Breckland power where I rode a 1:54:41. I wonder what I'd have done at full power there, bearing in mind today's ride was still down on my power pb for 50. D2Z rider won with new Welsh record of 1:39:xx

30 mile on the E2/30 Saturday. If I finish it'll be a PB but I'd like to beat 1:04:08 to get another club record. Just not sure my legs are working properly. Had the same issue during the 50 that I've had in the past with my left leg going numb - I think because the TT position is restricting blood flow - had it tested before and found marginal differences between L and R legs but not enough to prompt further investigation.
Anyone ridden the course before?

Isn't it a new (tweaked) course this year? What's the description?

I sometimes get a dead leg after a long TT, I put it down to the skinsuit getting tight in my groin and restricting blood flow?

E2/30
Ridden E2/10 and ridden the roads. It's straight out and back. You can't get lost!
Pretty fast big roads. Quite a few roundabouts around the turn.

Just found the thread on TTF:
"This year the event is on a new 'superfast' course that cuts out the Pampisford climb & the Sawston roundabout" but I need a map to work out what they're talking about.
Right...

You can't get lost!
Watch me.
My club (ICC) are planning to run an Open on that course, it may be a bit late in the year for you but if not I'll try to remember to let you know when you can sign up. Likely late July.
I have only done one TT to date but it was on the F10/10 and had a blast..now going to start trying to take 90 seconds off the time I got (21.30) for next season.
Is there a good target W/kg to aim for to ride that kind of time?
