There's a rumor it's canceled due to the circus having set up in the park.
EDIT: it's being moved to a different venue tbc

Wakka wakka wakka.

Only two things scare me...
Carnies, circus folk... Nomads, you know. Smell like cabbage, small hands...

For Β£26 it better rain a lot and a bit more at Herne Hill Sunday week.
Anybody want to sell me some cheap half decent tyres please? The Grifo are out of stock at bikediscount.de.

I still have my Kinesis fork for cheaper.

Fucking circuses, coming over here, taking our cross courses, etc.
On the plus side, it'll probably be churned up just right for the next cross race. :)

Sunday's race postponed, new date 15th of November.
Spread the word.

• #3642
Really sorry to have had to postpone so late, this week has been a nightmare. Stupid lions.
Hopefully you all find some other good racing to riding instead!

• #3643
Thanks for trying to sort it, Phil.

• #3644
+1. Great effort and at least it is only postponed.
Suggest circus fancy dress for the race in honour of the stupid circus

So who trains in Epping forest? @Jon. ,@Ramsaye - there's a consultation about the next ten years and it takes a dim view on cycling.
Worth signing up and responding to section 1.6
cityoflondon.gov.uk/things-tΒo-do/green-spaces/epping-forest/about-usΒ/Pages/consultations.aspx
I signed up, but can't find where to respond (unless I'm just meant to email them?!)

Your consultations - Epping - section one - hit the 'next' button on blurb page. You should get a survey.

I've entered the Rd 5 of the Wessex CX evening series in Swindon this Thursday. Anyone know anything about these events, specifically what the course is like? Looking forward to a new experience CX racing in the dark....

So here's a very telling pair of images from the 3 Peaks.
In the first one, it's business as usual, Rob Jebb stretching out a lead on the climb up Simon Fell onto Ingleborough. Further down the slope you can see two riders, the one carrying his bike is Paul Oldham.
Coming into the timing funnel on the other side of the hill, Jebb and Oldham were neck and neck, a scene that was repeated at the Ribblehead viaduct following the decent from Whernside.
Here, ascending Pen Y Ghent, Oldham has finally been able to turn that deficit around and was able to maintain a lead to beat Jebb by 1 minute and 16 seconds.
But with Oldham only a couple of years younger than Jebb, he isn't expected to copy the reign of domination and the outcome of next year's race is a lot less certain than it has been for almost 20 years.
It was an absolutely beautiful day out there and hopefully @ajack will be able to give us a report from the saddle side of the racing.
