My CdF on my mini tour. Would really like a rear rack which wasnt so tall to finish it off but I'm struggling to find one.

Nice. That is a high rear rack! Which one is it?

I think your problem is that the rack eyelets are quite high above the axle due to the dropout design rather than an issue with the rack.

Could mount rack and guards to same eyelet for slight improvement.

m:part ridge rack has height adjustment.
