Amazeballs, just loved watching her win.

If you look too closely at her face in the last pic she looks like a demon from Scooby Doo

It'll be between Rugby & Tennis for TOTY depends on if Tiger Tim, I mean Muzza, can win the Davis Cup.
SPOTY could be quite open, unless a home nation wins RWC on a solo effort.
Rooney will be token footballist, Mo & Jess for athletics, Lewis for driving, that swimmer who did well, a posh horsey type, Lizzie big wheels & hopefully Liam little wheels.

Thanks - just watched the 5km video. Great drama, she seemed to be stuck on the front at the wrong time.

Who gives a fuck!
It's an embarrassment of a competition these days, highlighting all that is wrong with the BBC's sports coverage.

Sky spending some mega bucks this transfer season.
They've some fire power.

The pundits all say Matthews for today. So I'll say Degenkolb.
I really, really hope Sagan nicks it tho.

The more I see racing on this circuit the more I think it suits puncheurs with a sprint. That final 5 km is very hard to control and positioning is critical. If the likes of Gilbert, Terpstra, Van Avermaet and Sagan hit out hard then it'll stay strung out all the way to the finish.
A really hard one to call.

It was a proud day for Team Rwanda also. 20 year old Jeanne d'Arc finished 86th of 135 starting riders.
She started #131, steadily progressed forwards throughout the race gaining positions as the laps went by: 115, 101, 108, 95, 101, 93, 90, finally 87. Avoided getting lapped / DNF.
And I built her bike. :)

Makes you wonder how much Wiggins was on.

A very big sum huh. And fairly so. Without him joe public wouldn't know/care about Team Sky.

Yes, could suit a lot of people. Crashes/rain involved too.
Depends on luck/tactics. Could be a breakaway, puncher or classics sprinter.
I'm going to say Sagan. About time he stepped up to WC level.

Sagan's team is his problem, too weak to do anything but keep him out of trouble for the first half of the race.
-
• #4642
Assumes he hasn't offered out cash rewards for help! But yes, his team. Though he's shown he can win without support at the end
Hopefully lining up to be a very good race. Shame about the course and tv coverage. Unacceptable really.

We'll look back fondly at this course next year.

Jaco Venter no Visa.
You can't hold a world champs and then not let people come compete. Hope the story is picked up on. Not acceptable. The USA really ballsing this whole champs up.

I'll go for Greg VA today - have a lot of admiration for him as a racer.

Awesome :)

That was kinda my point.
Its basically a 'how many newspaper pages have you filled'. You dont need a personaity, and you dont need to be the best sport person.
Epic meh.

Watching that finish. I can see the need for a strong team to keep you placed. But I cant see a team hitting that last section together.
Its does look like you need the strength to punch on the climb, and then have the legs to finish. I knew Liz had won before watching. Yet I still thought she'd blown it by attacking so hard on the climb. Strong stuff.
