  • Fancied a mustang too, but not quite as much

  • Saw this the first time that I watched the TDF in '92. I knew nothing about the rider, but the bike was amazing

  • The fuck you lusted after a Lizard!? I had one and it was utter shite.

    Now....A Muddy Fox Courier Comp......

  • My brother had exactly the same GT Zaskar LE when he rode for the Belgian GT Team (think end nineties); was an amazing bike indeed, but I preferred the Xizang LE.

  • DJ, you need the zolotone pine mountain.....flat/rough grey with pink....check out the new 2016 version for retro heaven....I think that's what my cycle2work voucher is going on!

  • I don't remember lusting after bikes when I was a kid. I guess I was still ignorant (or too busy trying to get my own back after someone stole it). Making up for lost time now though, any time I see a Banesto team bike.

  • wanted one so bad, worked in the LBS after school and on weekends till I could afford one...so good

  • I wanted a Raleigh Activator and got an Outland instead. It is also still in my parent's garage! Fucking loved that bike.

  • It was and still is the heaviest thing in the world mind.

    Halcyon days!

  • Skyway!

  • Ha! I remember that photo from the brochure. Fucking hipster. Was thinking the same about a Lizard, thats just what everyone had, not what everyone wanted. Same with the shitty purply Mustang.

  • Fuck you Garmin

  • I knew there was no chance of a Dune Dancer so I nagged and nagged and nagged my parents for a Yukon. They got me an Amazon. Which was still pretty effing cool. At least it wasn't a Pioneer.

  • I had the Yukon, frame bag n all. With Girvin Flexstem, total 0.025 tonnes

  • Srsly? You must have got all the girls and had very rich parents.

Admission: I have an ebay search saved for a 17" or 19" Yukon or Dune Dancer. When I get one I'll put 32C gumwall slicks on and use it as a summer tourer.

  • I had the Mirage.

  • Out our school the Mirage was considered a bit girly, what with it being a lilac girl's bike and everything.

  • Sadly had weak girl game and the Yukon got nicked #sadstorybro anyway I thought the Yukon was only mid range in terms of cost?

  • Ah, I got there name wrong then- mine was blue, which means it was the Montage.

  • My mate's dad had a lightning TI when we were kids, all-time dream frame.

Like this one, but with slick tyres and a yellow fork.
As far as I know he still rides it

  • The Yukon was defo upper-mid - third-from-top, so still lustworthy, if not quite a Dune Dancer:

They didn't do the Montage in 1991, so I don't know how cool a kid @Dammit was.
