Anyone know of any studded 26" tyres that are wider than 2.1"?
I think 45nrth do some but you might need a wider frame. And rim. And hub.

Thought I was being really (not very) funny but they do actually do some non-fat studded tyres, but not in 26".
These are 29x2.35":
http://45nrth.com/products/tires/nicotineCtBM is UK distributor for 45nrth.

Schwalbe Ice Spiker Pro comes in 26x2.35"
You can always add your own spikes to regular tyres too...

Or stay in on the day it snows.

Or stay in on the day it snows.
I live in Finland. That day can last for four months.

Fair enough.
-
• #7487
Just use it 1cm over it's minimum insertion, what's the worse that could happen?
-
• #7488
Post breaks or frame gets fucked.
Or both.
-
• #7489
D'ya reckon 1cm might be within acceptable tolerances?
E.g. If I was making them I wouldn't mark the limit as the true limit, there'd be margin for error factored in...
Edit: Anyone on here makes them can advise?

Some kind of stylish double clamp will probably let you get away with it.
-
• #7491

-
• #7495
I accept no responsibility for broken posts or frames, although it'll probably be fine.
-
• #7496
I'm sure it's some kind of bargain price, but... "lovely welding" ?!?!

I took my 26" rigid mtb and 24" bmx to some trails today and the bmx was so much more chuckable and lolworthy. But a bit shit because no gears or much brakes.
Should I fit a little stem and risers to the mtb or hub gears and brakes to the bmx?
-
• #7498
little stem on mtb for sure.
gears on bmx will loose the chuckability -

Any recommendations? I want silver and it seems to be £9 off eBay or £60 from Hope and not much inbetween.
