they look good for the price; are they just rebadged novatec? SBC Cycles will be building them onto Kinlin XC279 rims. What spokes, build pattern will make them strong?

Also found few novatecs (old ones I think) on Aliexpress that come in 20/24 but they weigh a LOT.

3x for disc brakes. Double butted at minimum, DT Comps or Alpines. (28 spokes minimum as well, IMO...)

Front brake torque is not much more than rear drive torque, I'd happily use 24H disc hubs. The old Crossroc UST had normal J-bend steel spokes and 24H 2X both ends, and they were fine.
