  • Hurry up googles and announce new nexus. I want to decide between them and Moto X Pure.

That said, this 2+ year old HTC M7 GPE is great. It's still updated (5.1), and I like the size etc... The only problem is it overheats badly at times (and the camera sucks)

  • I want USB3 charging now goddammit!

  • Anyone know a decent walk in repair service to repair the charging port on my note 4?

  • OK scrub that - out of stock anyway

  • Cheers for checking, wherever it was that you checked it!

  • ha! no I realised I was out a Nexus model - 6 is current right?

  • I've got the same and I do the following:

To show a list of apps that can be moved to the SD card go to settings > apps and swipe right to show apps on SD card. Annoyingly you then have to go into each app in the list and select move to SD card.

Also annoyingly you have to repeat this when an app updates.

Also go into settings > storage regularly to move data to SD card, clear cache and clear miscellaneous items to free up space.

  • Doing all that atm; quite annoying but at £139, can't complain.
When I make trip to India next year will get the 16GB version thats £129 in there. Double the RAM too.

  • Anyone looking for a decent/cheap smartphone? Got a galaxy s4 mini lying about for £65? as I have upgraded to a note4.

Has been used daily for 2 years so has picked up its fair share of scratches and scrapes around the edges. No screen damage though, and everything works fine.

  • So between last night and today something's happened to my phone (Note 2, CM12). Bluetooth audio worked perfectly - walked home from the pub, no problems. Today - it stutters unbelievably badly and seems to just crash out after a while. Setting for Bluetooth won't open. Rebooted a bunch of times.

    Any ideas/thoughts?

  • Meh. Factory reset and installed the latest CM nightly. It's working normally again.

  • Bunch of Nexus leaks a few hours ahead of the official Google launch

tl;dr, Nexus 5x by LG, Nexus 6P by Huawei. 13MP camera on the 5x, but optical image stabilisation is missing from both. Looks like they both have fingerprint readers on the back. They both have the reversible USB C connector. No wireless charging.

The 5x has a slightly larger display than the 5, but same resolution (1080), the 6P has a slightly smaller display than the 6 and also maintains the same resolution as before (2560 × 1440).

Both will have the Marshmallow version of Android.

  • So a couple of weeks in and I'm really happy with my elephone p7000.

  • Which android phones have slots for extra memory cards? I really like being able to us a 64gb sd card for music. I currently have a HTC One mini 2 but I'm due an upgrade. I do quite like my current phone but there's a few minor niggles, mostly with the music player and the headphone jack is a bit dodgy so might as well take the free upgrade!

  • Sony Xperia? I have a 128Gb card in my Z2

  • Well, the new Nexii are a huge meh. Similar specs to my 2-year old nexus 5. Phones have really plateaued in the last couple of years.

Looking forward to the supposedly greatly improved battery with marshmallow, though.

  • Kinda want a new Chromecast even though I don't need it...

  • Got details of the new N5?

  • The OG nexus 5 is better.
Same resolution screen, slightly smaller, wireless charging, optical image stabilisation etc.

  • Shit. Chromecast audio is going to make all my Sonos kit redundant.

  • I'm actually buying a Chromecast today, didn't realise there was a new one coming...

  • New one has...
    270omah vs. 2300mah battery
    12MP vs. 8 MP camera
    808 vs. 800 Snapdragon (http://newmobilereview.com/tag/snapdragon-800-vs-snapdragon-808/)
Sensor Hub chip inside that keeps notifications and fitness statistics without giving an extra burden to the processor

Not sure how the bigger screen power use will tot up compared to the bigger battery but it's a 'maybe' upgrade.
