Specialized Roubaix Pro are great but you'll only ever see them at rrp £25

To be honest, I was a little overwhelmed by Vittoria's large range, with their variety of vague names and random letters.
They did make some of them green! They're colour coded ffs.

I'm colourblind

Second that. Available at cyclestore for 24.95 with free tube, so if you need tubes then worth it.

^^ Ok.
The green/red ones are for flandrian cobbles or wet drain covers.
The ones with reflective bits are for skidz and the ones with brown bits are for cafegramming.

What about the black ones?

They're either ace (Corsa & XG), useless (Zaffiro) or if you can't tell the difference... you should probably just Rubino.
-
• #2037
What about the ones that are just one big tube? Can't get them to fit on my Open Pros.

Probably not using enough pva. Post pictures plz.

Well I'm certainly glad they're simplifying their range. This is too much for my brain to handle.

More on Graphene. FFS Vittoria, it wasn't broke so why fix it?

I cant decide between:
Marathon Supreme 28mm - 310g
or
Durano (non plus) 28mm - 290gIts for winter road and LOTS of gravel duty on both my road and cross bike. I've always loved GP4000 but im tired of the weak sidewall, and we have flint here.
Which tire gives the nicest ride? -

Same thread pattern as my Grand Bois Hetres too.
TBF the original thread pattern is not exactly useful, it feel a lots smoother and faster once it worn a bit.

U are a quick puncture fixer the few days a year the Durano will break ur stride of luck

Fitted my Compass 28s a few rides ago. Feels lovely, fast yet very comfortable on both tarmac and gravel. A substantial upgrade over the Stradas I used before these. I'm a believer.

That's the answer I was hoping for ;)

Winter tyres on Wiggle around the 15 quid mark:
Vittoria Randonneur II Tyre 700 x 25 or Schwalbe Marathon Original GreenGuard Rigid Road City Tyre 700 x 28? Or are they both shit?
-
• #2048
I've hear Randonneur's are hard to mount...
Right Ed?

Schwalbe Marathon Original GreenGuard Rigid Road City Tyre
Do they write that on the sidewall or do they send you a .PDF?
Vittoria Randonneur II Tyre 700 x 25
There is a lot of rubber on all the Randonneur tyres. Unfortunately with the 25mm version this means there isn't much room for air and they ride pretty badly IMO. 28s will fit? They're narrow/tall.
Perhaps spend another tenner and buy Duranos. Skimping on tyres is rubbish.

Ed just loves a cheeky Randos.
Vredstein Fortezza's are great, for winter they do the Fortezza Senso which is a softer compound better winter grip :)
