Can we have your verdict on Costa (not the coffee)?
Certainly more sinned against than sinning. The press coverage, particularly the BBC, is remarkable (or possibly not remarkable) for its bias. The clips they showed on Motd did not show the initial foul on Costa that put him on the floor nor the immediate reaction to him as he sought to stand up.
It seems that behaviour is acceptable if from Rooney or Shearer but not from Costa.
No doubt the FA will bend over to blow smoke between Wenger's bottom cheeks.

I still wish Shearer had lamped the cunt

Costa charged by FA
-
• #119236
Anyways, the FA are blowing their smoke and have charged Costa but failed to charge Gabriel for his violent behaviour after his red card or the other one who got involved earlier and whose name escapes me.

Iustitia et aequalis Sancho Panza venter cogitare.

What did Gabriel do after his red card? I was too busy pretending not to care to notice him do anything other than shout at people a bit and be slow leaving the pitch.
-
• #119239
From BBC: "The FA has also charged Gabriel with improper conduct and both clubs with failing to control their players."

Sancho Panza venter cogitant et aequalis tout le monde magna celebrationem.

I was assuming Arsenal would appeal Gabriel's ban given that Chelsea showed last season that being a bit annoyed is mitigation for violent conduct.

They've only charged Arsenal to deflect the UEFA conspiracy theorists.

Costa just did his usual job, manipulative and psycopathic as it was. It was Gabriel who really put the boot into himself. He would have had plenty of time to cool down if he had just thought about it.
Shearer was hilarious on motd. I'm not sure if he really wanted to stick up for Costa or if he thought taking the opposite position would be untenable, given the fact that he (Shearer) is the dirtiest fouling cunt ever. -

Any incident involving Costa, the ref should err on the side of caution and send him straight off. That will stop the need for all this retrospective nonsense and conspiracy theory claptrap.
It's pretty much a dead cert the pansy will be guilty of some infringement or other so lets cut straight to the point -

Gabriel red card appeal successful (3 game ban overturned), still faces the improper conduct charge from the FA though (more news on that on Thursday).

Don't want it to become like F1 where the people do their stuff on the day and then we wait 2 weeks for the lawyers to decide who won.

Bah
Well at this rate it's not going to be long. Lose tomorrow and there's going to be a real call for his head. Despite the loss of Benteke and Delph there was a lot of excitement about the mass of summer signings - there are some exciting talents in there. But..an awful, Moyesian run of injuries mean we haven't fielded our best side yet.
Gestede and Ayew look like pretty poor buys - we were never going to replace Benteke like for like, but they don't look up to Premier League level.
Still persisting with Gabby up front is a nightmare.
Substitutions are insane - leading 2-0 bring on a forward, losing 0-1 bring on a defender.
Defence is still leaky, midfield looks lightweight, attack just looks non-existent.
We arguably should have got more out of the first few games, but most worryingly performances seem to be getting worse. There's no fight which should be the one thing Tim does well.
Add to all that, everyone we should be competing with in mid-table is getting results and we are already adrift as a bottom 4. Last season there were 8-10 down in the basement to fight it out. Football is shit. Particularly Villa's football.
