Anyone tried the Brooks C17 with cutout? I thoroughly hated the regular C17, but love my Team Pro with cutout.

Want me to bring you one back from Murica?
Yes please man!
They seem to have changed up the design a bit:
http://www.rivbike.com/product-p/bashm-gr.htm:
Note: We are well aware that earlier versions had a brass swivel-clip
to holt the bag to the basket. It worked but was overkill, and it
confounded bemittened hands. So now there's a loop there, and you can
think of a million ways to secure it silently, quickly, and in a
mitten-friendly manner.I reckon it's for the better, a couple of these should do the trick:

Filson, Chapman, Barbour, Swiss army surplus, Duluth, Brady, Frost River, Archival Clothing, South2 West8, Wm. J. Mills.
Not nearly all UK brands (no idea of availability though) obviously. -

Nice work!
Did you just make that?

Been thinking about it for a while, finally got round to it this afternoon. Next up, light mount on/in the basket...

i actually might be considering making a few of these tote/backpacks, what racks/baskets are most people using..?
-
• #10462
Ha! Forgot you made that. Wald 137 is a pretty common basket, cheap and cheerful...

Kinda dig the black stem even. Silver seatpost would be preferred though.

chain sag
That's more-or-less what proper chain tension looks like (ok maybe it's a LITTLE slack...)
Running it super tight does nothing but cause noise and wear your drivetrain out faster.

I like it, but would prefer a slammed stem paired with a Nitto 602AA (68mm rise) or 603AA (62mm rise).

Or a good old Bullmoose bar.
Nearly finish doing up my dad's bike (Thorn Sherpa) in a retro MTB kinda way, awaiting Nitto Bullmoose to complete the picture.

Ed, I was referring to @Serling's post, maybe you were thinking of @rhb's?

^ vague plan is to get some road bb7 and stick the Woodchippers on mine. Could make anti before 2016.
-
• #10472
The spatter pattern makers on there are a big step towards that.

Have a look here then

I have this same fork, and wish to install a Randonnuering rack as you have done, problem is . . . I live in USA where liability (fear of being sued) dictates our activities. No one seems willing to approach the job of retrofitting a carbon fork with eyelets as seen here. And what about drilling through the fork crown? Can anyone tell me if this fork (post tinkering and instalation) still maintains it's structural integrity, carry's its intended load and rides-on?
