You bringing the Ti Stanton this time or something else? I've got new tyres on my Stanton, ready for a trip back to the homeland, 2.4 Maxxis Minion front and High Roller rear. I expect my climbs to be more unpleasant than usual.

Well, if you can make it @dancing james it looks like it will be good riding conditions. Weather forecast shows a fine day and with the recent rain the trails should be damped down and in good condition, not super loose and dusty.

I'm looking forward to this ride and trying the new tyres I've fitted ready to go to Wales on Sunday.

The final components for my new wheel build arrived today. It's hard to resist the temptation to quickly build them up this evening and take them out tomorrow.

On the other hand, building wheels is not something I feel should be done quickly!

my 29er always slightly terrifies me. the wheels were built by an idiot, i have known him continually since birth.

Afraid I think I'm going to have to bail on this, woke up this morning with quite a bit of lower back pain, think I need to take it easy this weekend!

Not going to make it now. Gutted. Was up most of the night with gastro "issues". Was coming out both ends simultaneously. Not nice.

Did hear a bit of rain at one point. Ground might be a bit wet. Certainly was over Pitch, Holmbury way when I was out yesterday.

Have fun all. Would be grateful if some would post a link to the completed ride when done. Was really looking forward to exploring some new trails.

On the train - have coffee and bike, will ride

Climbed over the vally to Ranmore then up again to the trail heads. Didn't ride them myself - was feeling pretty done.

Tried to ride ranmore... was challenging at that point in the day. Had an, errr, 'unexpected lie down', so gave up on the silly stuff, and cruised back.

Ended up having to work, passed through some surrey hills trails on the cross bike on sunday however. Really hope to make one of these soon.
