I went to Clever Mike to pick up my GF's wheels, a set of Defeet gloves he ordered for me (which cost only one pound more than wiggle) and rim tape for my wheels.
I brought the rear caliper down there and Clever Mike's owner (David?) introduced me to his dad (next door) who let me borrow a vice and 6mm round file.
I left 2.1 mm of material and hope it will last and that it is enough drop for the pads to reach. If not I might take a bit off the dropouts, But I really would rather not do that, as geometry would change a tiny bit ;-)
Jontea has some mid reach brakes for me, and they will be a nice solution B.
Anyways. People are just so fucking nice I can't believe it. Thank you everybody.
Clever Mike even gave me a 30mm recessed caliper brake bolt.
I am feeling great right now... Even if it fails ;-)
