Absolutely. I remember from my hi-fi days there were relatively small companies making headphones that openly admitted that they couldn't meet the demand for their product so just ramped the price up and up until it cut down the demand to a level they could fulfill. Better for them than setting at 'realistic' prices and having a forever disatisfied customerbase waiting on backordered stock.
I've been saving for ages with an aim to celebrate the end of my part time degree with another watch. Last few weeks though I've been toying with the idea of trying to get onto Sachs waiting list instead. Last I heard though he was only dealing with previous customers and folk from the military/educators.
